When Working Out Isn’t Enough, Try CoolSculpting

When Working Out Isn’t Enough, Try CoolSculpting

Exercise is good for your health. It helps with weight management, benefits your bones, and makes your heart pump more efficiently. But working out may not always get you the perfect body. Some areas of fat are harder to lose than others.

Our skilled team of aesthetic specialists, led by Dr. Kelly Distefano at Montclair Rejuvenation Center in Verona and West Caldwell, New Jersey, has a solution for you: CoolSculpting®

If you work out regularly and eat a balanced diet but still have stubborn pockets of fat, you may want to try CoolSculpting.

CoolSculpting basics

CoolSculpting is a nonsurgical body contouring treatment. It uses a type of freezing technology called cryolipolysis that freezes fat under the skin without harming any other cells or tissue.

Freezing damages the fat cells to the point where they’re no longer viable. The body removes and processes the dead fat cells, decreasing the amount of fat in the treated area.

We use CoolSculpting to treat multiple areas of the body, including:

CoolSculpting can reduce the number of fat cells in the area by up to 25% in one session. Once the fat cells are gone, they don’t come back.

Is CoolSculpting for me?

If you’re struggling to get rid of the belly bulge or love handles with diet and exercise, and you’re looking for a solution, we encourage you to schedule an appointment. We don’t make any treatment recommendations before learning more about you, your goals, and your health.

It may sound like CoolSculpting is a great way to lose weight, but it’s not a weight-loss treatment. If you’re not at your goal weight, you’re not ready for CoolSculpting.

A good candidate for CoolSculpting is someone who’s at a healthy and stable weight. Weight changes after CoolSculpting results.

Unlike liposuction, which is a surgical body sculpting treatment, results from CoolSculpting aren’t immediate and are something to keep in mind when considering treatment. It can take up to three months to see the final results.

What to expect

We customize CoolSculpting plans based on your concerns and goals and discuss the plan with you so you know what to expect. Treatment is done at the office and well-tolerated by most.

While you relax in the treatment chair, we place the applicator on the part of the body undergoing the fat-freezing process. Initially, you may feel an intense cold and tugging and pulling. But once the area numbs, you won’t feel any discomfort.

Treatment time varies but takes 30 minutes or more. Once the cooling is complete, we remove the applicator and massage the skin. You can resume your usual activities after. Depending on your body contouring goals, you may need more than one session to get the best results.

We encourage eating a balanced diet and getting regular exercise after treatment. The remaining fat cells can enlarge if you consume more calories than you burn.
